DiaMatrix now has the winning combination as a domain Registrar to be the first South African company to hold International Accreditations (ICANN, VERISIGN, PIR) and South African Accreditation (ZACR).
DiaMatrix was officially recognised as ICANN accredited in August 2012, thus making us only the 2nd Registrar in SA and the 6th on the African continent to do so. The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) is the governing body for all domains and Registries globally and ensures they conform to the highest standards. ICANN designs the global internet policies and controls the release of TLDs and gTLDs.
We are accredited with ICANN, which allows us to on-sell TLDs and gTLDs from other international Registries. Each international Registry has its own requirements for accreditation; once we have become accredited we can then offer their gTLDs to the South African marketplace.
Currently we are accredited locally with ZACR (.co.za), and internationally with Verisign (.com & .net), PIR (.org), Neustar (.biz), Afilias (.info) and with several others for the explosion of gTLDs (generic Top Level Domains) that are currently being released by ICANN. These include among others .africa, .joburg, .capetown, .durban and many more.
In Sep 2011, DiaMatrix became the very first .co.za Registrar to be accredited on the new .co.za EPP Registrar system. DiaMatrix subsequently launched a White Labelled domains Registrar and Reseller solution allowing .co.za Registrars to be accredited with ZACR for .co.za domain names in under 7 minutes.
