What is a VPS (Virtual Private Server)? A Virtual Private Server (VPS) is a single physical server that has been split into multiple virtual servers with the same functionality as a dedicated server (though with less capacity). It is isolated from the other VPSes sharing the physical server. VPS users have full control of applications, as it can be rebooted independently and has its own root access, users, IP addresses, memory, processes, files, applications, system libraries and configuration files.
